Cross country…..(^.^)
Yahoo!!! My mum’s here in KL for the weekend and she’s
staying in Hotel Istana. As a “filial” daughter, hehe.. I’ll be going to the
hotel to meet my mum.
It all started off by Saturday morning. I woke up at around
9 am, packed my things, get some food and “threw” into my bag and off I go. I
was told that I need to take LRT to Hang Tuah and change to KL Monorail and I
would reach Raja Chulan station where Hotel Istana would be just opposite the
station. It was my some sort of “ dream” to tour in KL city by walking around
but my dream just cant be realized as it’s hard to find ppl that’s as “wu liao”
as me to walk and walk and walk. My friend would just say I’m crazy or silly
for not taking the public transport.Even my brother asked me take public
transport cos it would take ages for me to reach my destination. But, it’s
different. When I walk along the roads, I get to see lots of things. Ppl’s
lifestyle, ppl’s way of walking, how they hold hands, how they get a taxi, how
little kids be naughty and run around without listening to their parents and a
lot more.
But, I cant be walking from here(BJ) to Hotel Istana. So, I
still took LRT to Hang tuah and I decided to walk from hang tuah LRT station to
Hotel Istana. So, with my bagpack, a mp3 player, a pair of comfortable walking
shoes and an umbrella, I started my journey. I walked along Jalan Hang Tuah,
passed pudu Jail, then I reached
Times Square
.
Actually I wanted to take a stroll in times Square but it was too early, all
the shops are not opened yet. So I crossed the road using the overhead bridge
which is Imbi Monorail Station also to get to the other side of the road. Then
I walked into Sungei Wang. Erm.. There were more shops opened d. so in
conclusion, Sg. Wang’s shop owners are more hardworking…(^.^)…. Wanted to shop
around but I think I better get going..hehe…or else my mum would wonder if her
beloved daughter got kidnapped or not. Then, I get through Sg. Wang’s exit
which opens to Jalan Sultan Ismail. I walked along Jalan Sultan Ismail. The “feel”
was quite good. It was like walking in overseas where there’s lots of café like
starbuck’s and restaurants like Nando’s. Then I reached the interchange between
Jalan Sultan Ismail and Bintang Walk.. I saw the big Mcd( corner shop)…It was
quite fun overthere cos there’s a lot of extra “ buildings” publicizing the
2006 world cup. There is this dome shape thingy which is sponsored by Nike. I
think it’s displaying different countries jersey but I din get to see them all
cos it’s not opened yet…
And yeah.. I saw the HSBC building from there. I know I’m
going to reach soon as my house mate told me once I see the HSBC building and
just walk along the road and the hotel is at the end…Then I walked passed Lot
10, cross the road, went into Giordano to enjoy some aircon… oh ya compliments
to Giordano salesperson, although I looked quite fake cos I don think I looked
like one who’s shopping but they still entertained me…hehe..and I bid them
goodbye and continue my journey…haha…then I walked along jalan sultan ismail, I
saw lots of café. One caught my attention, “kopi apa saja” if I translate it
into English it would be “What coffee only”???WTH?would they be serving me any
coffee that I want? Let me bring my dad there and, I think they would surely go
crazy. Cos my dad would look at the sign and he would try to think of coffee
that the shop won be able to make for him. Haha then my dad would say y put
that sign when u cant make the coffee that u thought u could????erm….a bit
complicated here…nvm…it’s not opened yet….haha..then I continued walking..
Aha…I can see KLCC now on my right and KL tower on my left…
but haven see the hotel yet…I continued walking, mp3 player playing Stefanie’s
Sun song “hen hao”…hmmm…feels good….I enjoyed the song very much when something
caught my attention… Restaurant New Shang hai… oh my god the shop sure looks
nice and I saw pics of dim sum…. Hmmmmmmm…I wanna eat. But, I just kept that in
my mind cos they would probably stare at me once I step in the restaurant. They
would be probably thinking who is this little girl and what in the world is she
doing in here…!!Maybe they will just a few bao’s at me and chase me out. So, of
all the consequences that I could think of I continued my way. Finally, after
bout few more meters I saw a signboard “ hotel istana”….yahoo…..i reached my
destination d…..!!!
I went in to look for my mum. I swear I saw the “door boy”
who opened the hotel’s entrance glass door for me looked quite reluctant and
bit of disapproving look shone in his eyes…hehe…I walked to the exhibition
ballroom. It was a Malaysian Dental Conference cum exhibition thingy going on.
I walked passed all the stalls and I swear again I saw all the Colgate,
Sensodyne and Listerine ppl gave me surprised look cos all the ppl there were
wearing formal clothes and suits. I was with a t-shirt, a pair of pants and
……and …… sports shoes!!!hehe…Finally, I saw my mum….. quickly, I ran and stayed
with her….
Things were great for the rest of the weekend. We went to
Petaling street
with my aunt….Shopped quite a lot…hehe… and ate a lot… I had a great time with
my mum…. And I had a great time exploring in KL city too… thinking of going
again some other time……It’s great to stroll around in KL city, especially with
all the big and nice high-rised building along the way…what I lack is only a
camera. It would be perfect if I could capture all the things I see along the
way and keep it………..
