Where terminal illnesses are concern, doctors cant really do much…
But, doctors do save lives…
Good doctors talk to patients….
Good doctors relieve patient’s stress….
Good doctors care for their patients…
Good doctors battle the illness together with their patients…
This is the time where behavioural science comes in….
Thinking of wat Mr. Paul Jambunathan taught us before…
Doctors are just merely thieves if all we do is just :
1.Patient comes
2.Ask thte patient wat’s the problem
3.Find out wat’s the problem
4.Give medicine
5.Byebye
We need to talk, communicate, care…
Maybe it’s time for me to pay more attention and give more time for this subject…

Chia Huan, its very true of what you had written. Recently I was sick with fever,etc. and had to take half day off from work to go see the doctor. Guess whom I met? A robotic doctor! To be more precise, she talked like a robot, acted like a robot… When I asked her to give me that day’s leave, she snapped at me “Why you never went to work?!” I answered her back “Come see you, how to go to work?!” haha…I was rather pissed.

i agree that it takes much more than just having a medical certificate to become a doctor….well i met many doctors of this sort tat were not willing to open their big fat mouth to advice me more on my illness…only when i ask them like about a million question only will they lazily say a few words about wat food has to be avoided and so on.anyway….i know that when someday when u come out to work huan ge,u will be the doctor that will not only cure the illness of the patient but also cure their heart as well….gambatek…
